This Privacy Policy explains how HabLine ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use the HabLine mobile app and related website pages.
We respect your privacy and aim to keep things simple and transparent.
Key privacy statement
- Your habit data is stored locally on your device and does not leave your device unless you choose to export or share it.
- In the future, we may offer optional sign-in (e.g., Google or Apple) to enable cloud sync. Signing in will be optional — local use will always be available.
What information we collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Data you enter: Information you provide when creating or managing habits, reminders, and other app settings. This remains on your device by default.
- Technical information: Limited details such as device type, operating system, and app version, which help us keep the app running smoothly and provide support.
- Purchase information: Data related to subscriptions or in-app purchases, processed through our payment providers and app stores.
We do not access or collect your personal habit details unless you explicitly choose to share them (for example, through an export or a future cloud sync option).
How we store data
- On-device: Your habit and reminder information is saved locally using the platform's secure storage system.
- Exports/backups: If you export a backup, a file is created that you control. Once shared or uploaded, it falls under the policies of the service you choose.
When data may leave your device
- If you export or share a backup file.
- If you choose to sign in for optional cloud sync (future feature).
- When managing purchases, where subscription data is sent securely to our payment provider and app store.
Your habit content is never sent automatically.
Third-party services
We may use trusted third parties to handle certain features (for example, subscription management). These providers only receive the data needed to provide their service.
Notifications
HabLine may request permission to send notifications. Reminders are scheduled and delivered on your device. You can turn them off in the app or device settings.
Security
We take reasonable technical steps to keep data on your device safe. Exported files may contain your full habit data, so please store them securely.
Data retention
- Data on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Backups remain wherever you choose to store them until you delete them.
- Purchase and technical information is retained only as long as needed for subscriptions, support, or legal requirements.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as accessing, correcting, exporting, or deleting your data. Most actions can be done in the app, and you can always contact us at hello@habline.app for help.
Children’s privacy
HabLine is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International data transfers
Some data (such as purchase-related information) may be processed by third-party providers in other countries. These providers handle your data under their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date shows when it was most recently revised.
