Terms of Service — HabLine

Welcome to HabLine. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the HabLine mobile app and related services (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the App you confirm that you are:
- At least the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, or
- Using the App with permission from a parent or guardian.
2. User Accounts and Sign-In
- The App is designed to work locally on your device without requiring an account.
- Optional sign-in (such as Google or Apple) may be offered in the future to enable cloud sync.
- If you choose to sign in, your account information and any synced data will be subject to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
3. User Content and Data
- Ownership: You retain ownership of the habit data and content you create in the App.
- Local Storage: Data is stored locally on your device by default. The App does not upload your habit content unless you explicitly export it or enable a sync feature.
- Exports/Backups: Exported files (e.g., JSON backups) are stored on your device or a third-party service you choose. HabLine is not responsible for the policies or security of third-party storage.
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
- Payments: Purchases are processed through the relevant app store or provider (e.g., RevenueCat). Payments, billing, and refunds are governed by their policies.
- Renewals & Cancellations: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the app store or provider.
- Refunds: Refunds are handled by the app store or purchases provider. For support, contact hello@habline.app.
5. Notifications and Reminders
The App uses local notifications for reminders. You control notification permissions through your device settings and can disable reminders at any time.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate third-party services (e.g., analytics, payments, crash reporting). Your use of these services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We may share limited metadata (e.g., purchase receipts, app version) with providers to operate the App—this does not include your habit content unless you explicitly export or sync it.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights in the App (including code, design, trademarks, and branding) belong to HabLine or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your compatible devices in accordance with these Terms.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
a. Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App (except where permitted by law).
b. Use the App to violate laws or infringe others’ rights.
c. Attempt to access or interfere with other users’ data.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. HabLine disclaims all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- HabLine and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the App (including data loss, loss of profits, or business interruption).

- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HabLine’s liability for direct damages is limited to such amount as may be required by applicable law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold HabLine harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses resulting from:
- Your use of the App,
- Your violation of these Terms, or
- Your violation of applicable law.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violating these Terms or for business reasons.
- If terminated, any synced data stored on our servers (if applicable) may be deleted.
- Data stored locally on your device remains under your control.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes are published means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes related to these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
15. Export Compliance
You must comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws when using the App.
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy make up the entire agreement between you and HabLine.
- Severability: If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any right under these Terms is not a waiver of that right.
